Julie Paquet, a wildlife biologist with the Canadian Wildlife Services, studies Semipalmated Sandpipers along the Bay of Fundy and Whimbrels on the Acadian Peninsula. Workshop participants will learn how to identify the most common shorebirds and their stop-over needs as well as why and how to participate in the Atlantic Canada Shorebird Surveys. As seating is limited, pre-registration is mandatory. Contact Joanne Savage by email at davidsavage@rogers.com or by phone at 847-4245. SJNC events are open to one-and-all without charge. However, modest donations yo the Club's conservation projects are always gratefully accepted.
