Beaver Harbor NB is a fantastic place for birding! I was there a couple weeks ago and took a short hike along the beach at low tide and saw red breasted mergansers, buffleheads, and American black ducks (also Ravens and crows for those of you who enjoy corvids as I do :) ). On other occasions I've seen eider ducks, cormorants, common loons, red throated loons, eagles, great blue herons; Pure Atlantic Canadian gold, even more so if you own or have access to a water vessel of some type!

I agree Julie.  Did the CBC down there with Katherine Dewar.  Beautiful spot for birding.  I was all excited and thought I had seen a Snowy, but just my wishful imagination.
