At dusk today while bringing in the bird feeders for the night, I heard the distinctive call of a brown thrasher. Quickly hopped in my car and drove to the Campbellton rural cemetery where I located the bird singing in the back along a tree line overlooking val damour road. I experienced the same situation 2 years ago(may 28th). I would think that there is a strong possibility that this is the same male observed then as they are pretty uncommon. I have an incling that they may be nesting across the river in the cross point QC birding trails area as I discovered one during July last year or the previous. Always a thrill to see!
