My partially leucistic Little Buddy -Black-capped Chickadee

It is so awesome to me to be able to see the same chickadee over the entire winter. I haven't seen him/her for a month now and was beginning to think I wouldn't see it again. I've been looking for days and finally today March 17, 2015 it returned! Yippee!

I first saw it Oct 30, 2014. I do want to post a list of sightings for my record of it. Instead of posting in the photo section each time I'll just add to this so all in one place. Most of these I've posted before ... all except the last one for now ... which I saw today March 17, 2015 ... all in my yard, New England Settlement, near Minto. I hope to add many more!

Oct 30, 2014 -1st sighting

Jan 5, 2015 - was surprised to see again!

Feb 7, 2015- wide angle lens P&S camera... its about 3 inches from my hand, looks further but its not. Come on Little Buddy, take the pebble from my hand ... but he saw a plump seed on the ground by my feet and went for that instead.

I have seen Lil Buddy out and about a few times the last week and did manage to get a few nice pics today, Nov 8, 2016. If Lil Buddy stays around ... this will be his/her third winter here in my yard. That is cool! I'm so happy to have him back again! :)

As a reminder of this date ... Lil Buddy is having a snack before settling down to watch the Clinton/Trump US Election coverage being held today.

I know how much you love your "little buddies" Jimmy. Glad this even more special one keeps returning!

Thanks Joanne! I have no cardinals or your T.V.'s ... but I do have ... my little chickadee :)

That's really neat Jimmy to be able to track your little buddy.  It's a very unique sitiuation where normally it would be impossible to track a chickadee based on their characteristic uniform feathering.  It's like a leg tracker band without the band ;)

Thanks Andrew! Yep he does have his own unique costume. Saw a White-breasted Nuthatch trying to make friends with him the other day :)

I'ts a nice  feeling to recognize a bird. I get so I feel very responsible for them and I must tell myself that they are wild and can cope very well.

I didn't even see this recent posting you did before I made that comment about seeing this guy on cam.   Look at that precious little face.  I can't get over how his eyes look like two little jewels on that white part of his face.  Adorable!

Gail the two images on Feb 15 above were both taken right where the cam is pointing ... he was right where the the snow shovel is now. The right one was on those branches above. Would be nice if he came by .... was there yesterday :) I think the chickadees start feeding later in the afternoon.

I never would have guess that it is a chickadee what a pretty little bird. Beautiful photos.

He'ls adorable Jimmy!!  What a unique guy he is!

Lil Buddy visited today - added 3 images + a 30 second video up above in the original post under March 24, 2015.

Awww, a little cutie pie!  Were you streaming today? I have tried to call up JDee'sFeeders on Ustream but it tells me sorry the page I am looking for doesn't exist.  Nice video...he/she blends right in with the colors of the birch tree.  Isn't it wonderful that he keeps coming around.

I noticed the little fellow was zipping around the treetops with all the other buddies ... chasing each other and have a grand time. Then after a bit they all decide to fill up on seeds for the night. They do this every day. I notice around 2 to 3 pm .... they kinda rest in the tree ... just sit around quietly. I notice chickadees do have a routine. Kinda neat.

I haven't streamed since a few days ago ... the day you were there. Birds there early morning but thats about it. In front, birds are there all day until dark. But too far. Maybe I'll figure out a way some day.
