The feeder activity has been very sparse over the last month, but this week I have had a Northern Flicker visiting the seed cake I have hanging on my Crabapple tree.  There is also suet out for it to feed on but it seems to like the seed cake.  I believe this is a male. It is interesting to see this bird in downtown Moncton as I usually associate Flickers with country roadsides.
