I was sitting at the computer just now going over my collection of Stigmella leaf mines (Nepticulidae) when an email came though from BugGuide. A moth that I had photographed at my front door on 22 Nov 2009 had been moved to a new species. It had been originally placed in Acleris schalleriana - Schaller's Acleris Moth - Hodges#3527 but had been moved to Acleris braunana - Hodges#3518.

There are only 3 images of this moth in BugGuide, mine and two from Massachusetts.

MPG has only one dot, in northwestern NB, probably Edmundston (Richard Migneault?)

AME lists it from NB, NS and eastern Quebec.

Does anyone else have one of these?
