I was quite lucky to have looked in the right direction to spot this Wilson's Snipe while walking through my farm field. It was hunkered down to avoid detection and it was difficult to relocate it to take some photos at max zoom as it blended quite well with it's surroundings.
Photo taken at my home in Sainte-Marie de Kent on May 7th 2017.

Thanks, Jimmy! I was on the lookout for at least one after flushing a small group of them previously. I finally saw this snipe with my binoculars and then approached it slowly when I saw that it had hunkered down in the long grass. It didn't budge, allowing for a few shots with my long zoom camera. I then backed away and left.
I've been hearing a Wilson's Snipe winnowing overhead every spring/summer, but this is my first time seeing this species on my property...pretty exiting!
Good spotting Gabriel!
Thank you, Joanne.
God eye, Gabe!
