Yellow-crowned Night-heron

My brother Martin Robichaud photographed this YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON [Bihoreau violacé] on the lawn of his rural home near Wickham in Queens County on Friday evening, June 1st. We only learnt this on Sunday evening June 3rd; the bird hasn't visited again.

Great find. Makes one want to grab a camera and go searching.

Wow! Nice shot of a very rare bird! While there are quite a number of records for NB there have only been maybe two or three 'chasable' Yellow-crowns in the province in the past 25 years. This will be a very popular bird if it is relocated.
