"Not many songbirds have a tail band. The only species that comes to mind, Bill, is Cedar Waxwing. Their tail band is usually yellow but some individuals have a strong orange band that can appear quite red."

"Built new house in Norton, and moved in last April/17, I have lots of Blue Jays and Doves, heated birdbath, lots of feeders with mixed seed, black oil sunflower seed, niger seed, peanuts pieces and peanuts in shell. Do you suppose the small birds…"

charchol gray with red across the end of tail feathers. Neck seemed longer than usual.size of a Bluebird, larger than a Chicadee,size of a Snow Bunting.

nrver been able to see anything close in any bird book,  can any one help?
