New Brunswick shorebird trip

Posted on August 16, 2013 at 3:13pm 3 Comments

        Hello N.B. Birders,

My wife and I are planning a trip to New Brunswick . I'm hoping to do a lot of shorebird watching . Our plan is to stay for a few days (or more) each at  Sugarloaf P.P. , Kouchibouguac N.P. and Fundy N.P. I've made note of the birding hotspots according to this site that we will be travelling near/by while we follow the coastline and (hopefully)  check out each one. High on my list to visit is Miscou Island ! Are there any other…

Hello Mike,

I do not have much for camera equipment.  Sort of a Volkswagen of sort.  In 2004, I purchased a Canon Digital Rebel 350D 5mp. a 70-300 Tamron 4-5.6, and a Canon 50mm 1.8 (Nifty fifty) as well as a set of Kenko extension tubes.  Most of the photos I have posted were taken with this set-up.  It permitted me to take a few bird photos if I could real close as well as some macro flowers, and smaller bugs.  I completely wore out all of the above from frequent usage.

Since then I have purchase again all of the above lenses and a Canon 40D, which I am starting to get to know.  Hopes this helps out.

Hi Mike,

I just clued in to who you are, the name sounded familiar, it was me who posted your pictures.

I didn't think you'd be interested in joining our site but that's great.  If you want to post them yourself, with a little more history, I'll delete the ones on my page.  I found them very interesting.
