I don't think that have my phone message yet - we are going to Mt Carleton this week and the grandkids will be with us next week. We should talk because the tanagers are very difficult to shoot but then you might have better luck than me. It was along the 4 wheeler trail - 2 singing males. The other op will be baby loons on the lake on the parents back. The bugs were terrible and the trail is muddy. It is very shaded under the leaves.

Nice meeting you too Nathan. I didn't see much out there after you left - it was most likely too hot for the birds...I'm off to Grand Manan/Machias Island next week - so a return trip to Wilkin's Field will have to wait. I definitely will get there for a much earlier start next time around.
