Red Twin-spot Carpet

7388 Xanthorhoe ferrugata.At light May 23 2013. Thus far,  locally for me this is the worst year for moths.As the coordinator for BAMONA for the Maritimes and Maine I think I have had only 3 moths to ID to date; far less than last year. Either people have lost interest of there just  'aint  no moths'.See More

"I believe it is palparia. Based on my collection I would not call it uncommom. Commonest of the old Bomolocha is baltimoralis, followed by palparia, then bijugalis and finally madefactalis."
