red-bellied woodpecker

Perhaps this isn't as unusual as I first thought, judging by past posts on this site, but still - if anyone's interested, there was a red-bellied woodpecker in my front yard yesterday (between Oak Point and Evandale).

Sandhill Cranes

The small flock of sandhill cranes is still feeding in the same field in Rexton almost every morning. There were 7, now 5. It is on route 495, just outside of town on the right in the farm field, left of the driveway, usually with a big flock of geese. They have been there for 10 days now.
