So I said to Kitt, why isn't there a naturalist club in Hampton?  I mean it's a great spot for seeing all kinds of nature, there are tons of people here who enjoy getting out, maybe we should see about starting up a club?

That was last summer, and here we are today, and I'm excited, because on Tues we are going to have our first meeting and I'm hoping it will grow into something beautiful.

For our first meeting we don't actually have a guest speaker, it's really just to see who is interested in pursuing the interest of having a club, but I have the church to use for free, i've booked every 1st Tues of the month and to start off I thought we could share what's our favorite spots and why they are.

So going with that theme , I've put together a slide show of some of my favorites.

Well we had 7 people out for our first meeting, and that's a start. I know they were forcasting foul weather so I take that into consideration. I have a volunteer who will be settiing up a facebook page and I believe it was a fun night so I know next month will be just as good.

Hopefully sometime within the next week we will set up an owl prowl and post it on our facebook page. Happy Birding all

Thanks Joanne, that means alot.  It will be an interesting night, I through out my back on the weekend, so moving very slowly.   Still I hope to share and hope others will also feel courage to get up and share.

I just have to get some field trips set up, and find a guest speaker for the next couple of months. :)

Hoping some who come will help by taking on some responsibilities for running club.
