I was looking through some of my pictures from the last few months and had to laugh at the ones that didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped. Does everybody have some in our collections?  I thought it might be a good chuckle if we posted our bloopers. Might as well laugh as cry ;)

Here is one I'm especially proud of...

It's nice when they co-operate by staying perfectly still, isn't it, Jimmy! Lol.

First of all I have to say my eyesight is not all that great ... and it was a ways off. With the excuses out of the way ... I saw this white Pigeon sitting on a gravestone and as quickly as possible took a shot ... you know ... shoot first and ask questions later.

Too funny ... I too get very excited when I see birds, especially if it is one I have not seen before ... and I have many pictures of blurds to prove it .... lol

I shamefully submit the following ... I saw a bird. grabbed my camera and took a fast pic. Later found out the pic was a reflection in the water. The bird is upside down. Sometimes its tough to find that subject. The joy of photography!

I agree with Anne. Good on you for sticking it out! I should have said something earlier. I think it is a Common Merganser female.

I admire your persistence, Jimmy! It paid off with a great photo. Wonder what it is?

Ok I'll keep these small but I must show them all to get the point across ... I was trying to photograph this duck or whatever bird it is ... it took eight tries to get it. Was in the car and it kept swimming upstream ... I was in reverse trying to get shots between the trees branches. Thats why each shot you can see different out of focus leaves and branches. Finally got it!!!
