There has been some concern about posting photos full size and the site running out of space.  Some people have stopped posting pictures as they find it difficult to resize, (myself included).

There is lots of room for expansion or another option is archiving.

Please feel free to post any size picture, especially if it's something you want help to identify.

If it's not the best quality and you want to delete it after you've made your ID that's fine too, but don't not post something because you think it's too big.

Thanks for mentioning that! This site is so much more than just a bunch of pictures...It is about the exchange of information on birds and nature and it is an excellent learning opportunity and I know many people love it dearly and are learning a lot form it, myself included!

I am truly sorry if some of my own earlier comments discouraged some people from posting their full size pictures. I am very willing to help people try to figure out how to reduce the size of their images (IF THEY WISH, but it is not necessary), but I also realize that their are tons of image editing software out there, and although they all do more or less the same things, the layout and terms used for each function may be rather different, so that may be a monumental task I set out for myself.

Please don't delete pictures of significant sightings though, no matter the quality.
