Boreal Chickadee grabbing peanuts from my hand

I was surprised when a normally shy Boreal Chickadee came down for a peanut on my outstretched hand. Maybe he/she was following the lead of his close cousins...

Neato!  He seems like he is just one of the crowd fitting in.  Great video!

Ha ha yea I did that on the first landing Dwayne.  I was prepared and anticipating the 2nd and 3rd times with the Camera in hand.  This is a public site where feed is put out for the birds on a limited bases. There was nothing left in the feeders when I arrived with my sac of goodies so the locals where very happy to see me(Squirrels too)  The little boreal was actually the first one to come to my hand......hmmmmmm he must be trained. ;)

Thanks Jimmy, I don't usually make the bird "perform" for me, but couldn't resist trying with the boreal.

Wow very cool! Lucky you Andrew. I've never seen a Boreal CD at feeders. I feel privileged when a birds eats from my hand. So far lots of Chickadees and just one RB Nuthatch.
