Spent the 12th June 2018 sitting by a dirt road removing Horse Flies and Deer Flies from a trap in the Spednic Lake PNA.
Rte 630 which borders the PNA was loaded with odes and on the dirt side road where I was parked there was always 20 or more circling around; activity seemed to increase later in the afternoon, around 5pm.
Unfortunately, photography would have been impossible as I never saw one land (where I was parked).
One did get caught in my tent, a Stream Cruiser, which I released.
Many of the odes on rte 630 were resting on the road.
Incidentally, the 2018 Biota starts at Spednic Lake PNA today.
Encouraging news Tony!!
